Francis Ford Coppola’s Turtle Inn in Placencia, Belize
A week in a two-bedroom beach villa at Francis Ford Coppola’s Turtle Inn in Placencia, Belize, with sailing, paddleboarding and plenty of kid time.
We love luxury and adventure in equal measure, so a week living in a beach hut at Francis Ford Coppola’s Turtle Inn in Placencia, Belize, was an easy yes. The “hut” turned out to be a two-bedroom, two-bath villa with a living room, a dining room and two outdoor shower gardens that we used every single day.
The resort is sprawling and very family-friendly. Our kids made friends almost instantly, which gave us some rare adult time to roam and unwind. Between sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, beach volleyball, the spa, the wine aquarium and the dive shop, there was something new to do every day, starting with dinner at Gauguin Grill on our first night.
