A Journey Through Time: From Pharaohs to Petra

Over the course of eight days, we’ll cruise the legendary Nile in luxury, exploring ancient temples, tombs, and timeless landscapes from Cairo to Luxor. We’ll walk in the footsteps of pharaohs, sail past palm-fringed villages, and dine under desert skies. For those who want to extend the journey, we’ll cross into Jordan to stand before the Treasury of Petra, gaze across the Promised Land from Mount Nebo, and ride through the otherworldly dunes of Wadi Rum.

  • Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our local representative who will assist you with formalities and escort you to your hotel, The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax or explore at your own pace.

    Hotel - Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile - Deluxe Room (Or Similar)

  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before heading out for a full-day tour exploring Cairo’s most iconic sites. Visit the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the enigmatic Sphinx. Continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where an extensive collection of ancient treasures awaits. Lunch is included at a local restaurant during your touring. Return to your hotel for an evening at leisure.

    Hotel - Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile - Deluxe Room (Or Similar)

  • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival, board your deluxe Nile Cruise ship, the H/S Nebu , for the start of your four-night journey along the Nile. Enjoy lunch on board, then set out to visit the impressive High Dam and the beautiful Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Return to the ship for dinner and overnight in Aswan.

  • After breakfast, take a relaxing felucca ride around Kitchener Island, famous for its lush botanical gardens. Then, sail toward Kom Ombo to visit the unique temple shared by the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Continue cruising to Edfu. Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner are served onboard. Overnight in Edfu.

  • This morning, visit the well-preserved Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian architecture. Return to the ship and sail toward Esna, then continue to Luxor. Enjoy the scenery and comfort of life aboard the Nebu. Meals are served throughout the day. Overnight in Luxor.

  • Today’s tour takes you to Luxor’s West Bank, where you’ll explore the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch on board, visit the East Bank to admire the grandeur of Karnak Temple and the beautiful Luxor Temple. Return to the ship for your final night onboard.

  • Enjoy breakfast on board before disembarking. Transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, check in at the InterContinental City stars . The rest of the day is yours to relax or enjoy some last-minute shopping or sightseeing.

  • AMMAN I MADABA I MOUNT NEBO I KERAK I SHOBAK I PETRA

    Enjoy a scenic drive along the King’s Highway to visit Madaba, the City of Mosaics. The oldest mosaic map of the Holy Land exists on the floor of Saint George’s Church, and the city features many famous mosaics that exist in both public and private buildings. Visit Mount Nebo, the alleged burial site of Moses, overlooking the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, where Franciscans built a simple structure that protects a 4th and 6th Century Byzantine church. Continue to Kerak for a photo stop before proceeding to Shobak Castle. Built in 1115, it was the first of many fortifications built by King Baldwin I of Jerusalem to guard the road from Egypt to Damascus. It successfully resisted a number of sieges until it fell to Saladin's troops in 1189. Dinner and overnight at Petra Hotel.

  • After breakfast, you will begin your full day visit of Petra; a city carved into the rose-red Sharah Mountains by the Nabateans and lost to civilization until rediscovered in 1812 by the Swiss explorer, John Lewis Burkhardt. Walk through the Siq, a narrow and winding fissure between the cliffs, to reach the Treasury, the Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, the Temple of the Winged Lion and other breathtaking monuments. Dinner and overnight at Petra Hotel.

  • This morning, you will have a short drive to Little Petra, where you will walk through the 8,000-year-old excavated stone-age villages of Beidah and Basta, wander among the ruins of settlements of the biblical Edomites, and explore the sprawling remains of the Roman legionary fortress at Udruh. Continue to Wadi Rum, where the movie “Lawrence of Arabia” was filmed. Here you will enjoy a 2-hour Jeep tour to view the desert and its awe-inspiring moon-like landscape. Drive back to Amman via the desert highway for dinner and overnight.

  • After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to Amman Airport for departure, with the assistance of our airport representatives through customs and formalities.
