Atlas's Private Sale: 25 Voyages, Antarctica to the Arctic, at Fares We Can't Print

Atlas Ocean Voyages has extended private sale fares to us on 25 voyages: ten in Antarctica this season, including Christmas on the Peninsula, and fifteen in Europe next spring, from the Canaries to Svalbard. Taxes are bundled in, four sailings add $100 onboard credit, and the numbers live in your quote.

A private sale, which means a number in your inbox, not on this page

Atlas Ocean Voyages has extended private sale fares to us on 25 voyages. Ten are in Antarctica this season. Fifteen are in Europe next spring, running from the Canary Islands all the way up to Svalbard.

If you’ve read our Explora or Lindblad posts, you know the drill. I’ll tell you exactly which ships and dates are on the list. I won’t print the fares. They go in your quote, and they’re the kind of number worth a ten-minute email to find out.

Two things I can say. The fares are per guest with government taxes and fees already bundled in, so the quote is the real total, not a starting point. And four of the Antarctica voyages, in February and March, add $100 onboard credit per stateroom on top.

Antarctica: ten departures this season

Atlas runs three nearly identical yachts of just under 200 guests each, ice-strengthened and polar-rated, with all drinks, gratuities and 1GB of Wi-Fi included. On polar voyages the fare also covers a private charter flight to the ship, a pre-cruise hotel night and a parka you keep. Our guide to Atlas has the full picture.

Christmas and New Year’s in Antarctica. The December 23 sailing on World Traveller is 11 nights round trip from Ushuaia, which puts both holidays on the Peninsula. It’s the one departure on this list I’d expect to go first.

Skip the Drake. The December 7 and 14 voyages fly from Punta Arenas to King George Island, where the ship is waiting. Seven nights, no two-day crossing each way. If the Drake is what’s been holding you back, here’s how rough it actually is and why the fly option isn’t for everyone.

The long way. November 12 and March 13 are 16-night voyages that start or end in Buenos Aires instead of Ushuaia, so the coast between the two cities becomes part of the voyage. Ask us for the port-by-port.

Late season, with credit. The four February and March departures are 11 nights, which is the sweet spot for a first Antarctica trip. Late season is whale season, and the penguin chicks are out and about. These are also the four with the $100 onboard credit.

Europe: fifteen voyages, spring 2027

The European half of the list follows the yachts north through April, May and June, and most of it comes in seven to ten nights.

The Mediterranean on World Traveller. Six of these voyages connect end to end: Las Palmas to Malaga, Malaga to Nice, Nice to Naples, Naples to Malta, Malta back to Nice, and Nice to Rome. Take one week or string several together; each one starts where the last one ended. The French Riviera, Naples and Rome in Italy, and Malta, on a yacht this size, means docking in town, not anchoring off it.

Atlantic Europe on World Navigator. Lisbon to Bordeaux, Bordeaux to London, then London to Fredrikstad in Norway. The three connect, too, for 25 nights from Portugal to Scandinavia.

North on World Voyager. London to Glasgow around the British Isles, then Bergen to Reykjavik, and finally Reykjavik to Longyearbyen in Svalbard, the June voyage that turns into a full Arctic expedition. That last one is polar-rated yacht territory, and it’s the one I’d look at if Antarctica isn’t in the cards this year.

The fine print, minus the lawyer voice

New bookings only. If you already have one of these sailings on deposit, it doesn’t apply retroactively.

It doesn’t stack. The private sale fare can’t be combined with any other Atlas promotion or saving. If you saw our post on Atlas’s Travelzoo fares, some of the same dates appear on both lists. We price your sailing both ways and you book the better one.

Taxes are in. Fares are per guest, based on two sharing, with government taxes and fees bundled in.

Solo travelers pay 125% of the per-guest fare for a stateroom on their own, which is a gentler supplement than most lines charge. Our single supplement guide explains how that compares.

Limited space, select categories. Not every stateroom category is on sale on every voyage, and Atlas can close inventory as it fills. The fares are also subject to change without notice. A quote today beats the same quote next week.

How to get your number

Send us the voyage (or the region and month), how many of you there are and the kind of stateroom you’d like. We’ll come back with the private fare, the Travelzoo fare where there is one, and an honest read on which voyage fits what you want to see.

Request your Atlas quote, or if you’d rather talk it through first, start here.
