Scenic and Emerald Reopened the Unpublished-Rate Window: 365 Sailings, Through November 4

The sitch, and the part I can’t print

Twice a year or so, Scenic and Emerald Cruises hand a spreadsheet to a small group of preferred agencies. It lists specific departures with a private rate attached to each one, and it comes with a compliance sheet that says, in so many words, that the rate must never appear on a public website. This is that spreadsheet, refreshed for the fall, and this is a public website. So you’re getting the list and not the number.

What I can tell you: 365 departures across both brands, sailing from November 2026 through October 2027. Scenic Eclipse ocean voyages, Emerald’s yachts, and a very deep slate of European river cruises on both lines. Limited inventory on each, not combinable with anything else, and the window to book closes November 4, 2026.

What happens when you ask: we look up your dates, tell you whether your sailing is one of the 365, and send back a quote with the private rate applied. Same ship, same suite, same all-inclusive product. Different invoice. If you want the longer explanation of why these rates exist and why everyone in the chain behaves themselves, it’s the same story as the Lindblad one from earlier this week. Short version: quiet rates stay alive only while they stay quiet.

Scenic Eclipse: 21 ocean voyages, February to October 2027

Both Discovery Yachts are on the list, Eclipse and Eclipse II, and the spread is wider than the usual “a few Med sailings nobody wanted”:

• Antarctica in Depth, Buenos Aires round trip, late February 2027. One departure, on Eclipse II, and it’s the same voyage as our Scenic Antarctica itinerary. If you’ve been circling a helicopter-and-submarine Antarctica and waiting for a reason, this is the reason.
• South America, three sailings in March: the Chilean fjords and glaciers, Brazil’s coast, and a Santiago departure through the ancient kingdoms of the Pacific side. Patagonia by yacht is a very different trip from Patagonia by bus.
• The Mediterranean, eight sailings from April to June: Malaga, Funchal, Palma, Rome, Valletta and Nice departures, including the French Riviera and Monaco Grand Prix voyage in late May. This is where the inventory is deepest.
• Western Europe, three: Lisbon to the Atlantic coast, Bordeaux to London, and a Portugal-Spain-France run built around the food.
• Svalbard, one 13-night wildlife voyage out of Oslo in summer. Polar bears from a yacht with two helicopters on the back.
• The Caribbean and the Panama Canal, five sailings in the fall: New York to the Bahamas, Nassau to the Grenadines, a Barbados to Panama transit, and an eight-night Splendours of the Caribbean.

Emerald yachts: 37 sailings, November 2026 to August 2027

This is the part that starts soonest, so read it first if you’re thinking about winter.

• The Caribbean, 14 departures on Sakara and Azzurra from late November: the Virgin Islands runs out of St. Thomas (five of those), the Leeward Islands, the Eastern Caribbean with St. Barths, and San Juan and Miami departures. A 100-guest yacht with a marina platform is the right size for these islands.
• The Seychelles, nine sailings on Kaia through the winter: eight 7-night Tropical Charms loops and one 9-night Island Hopping. The Seychelles by yacht is the version of that trip most people don’t know exists.
• The Adriatic, nine: Venice and Dubrovnik departures along the Croatian coast, plus an 11-night Azzurra run through the Corinth Canal to the Greek islands.
• The Mediterranean and the Aegean, five: Sicily to Elba via the Amalfi Coast, the French and Italian Rivieras, a 12-night Italy and Adriatic on Kaia, and two Athens-Istanbul sailings on the new Raiya.

The rivers: 307 sailings, March to September 2027

Here’s where the list gets enormous, and here’s where we’ve actually put our own feet. Erin and I did the Danube ourselves, on a different line, Budapest through Slovakia to Austria, after swearing for years that we weren’t cruise people. The episode is below; the short version is that a boutique river ship goes where no road leads and no Uber dares, and we came home converted.

Emerald river, 170 departures across Sky, Dawn, Destiny, Star, Sun, Luna and the new Astra:

• The Rhine: Amsterdam to Basel and back (Jewels of the Rhine, the Majestic Rhine, the spring Tulips and the Rhine), the Rhine and Moselle out of Mainz, and combinations with Berlin, London, Zurich and Lucerne, and the Glacier Express.
• The Danube: Budapest to Regensburg or Passau, with Prague, Nuremberg and Munich extensions. Our Emerald Star Danube itinerary is one of these.
• The lower Danube: Budapest to Giurgiu through Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, with Transylvania and Istanbul extensions on the end. The least-known river route in Europe and, for my money, the most interesting.
• The Rhine-Main-Danube grand crossing, 11 nights, and the Waterways of the Netherlands.

Scenic river, 137 departures across Amber, Pearl, Ruby, Crystal, Diamond, Opal, Jasper, Jewel and Sapphire:

• The Danube: Gems of the Danube in 7 and 10 nights from Budapest or Regensburg, Danube in Depth from Nuremberg, and Prague pairings.
• The Rhine: Rhine Highlights and Castles and Vineyards of the Rhine between Amsterdam, Basel and Mainz, with Swiss and Berlin extensions.
• Bordeaux on Scenic Diamond: the Bordeaux Affair, Beautiful Bordeaux, and pairings with Paris, Madrid, the Seine and the Douro.
• The Low Countries: Dutch Sights and Belgian Delights and the tulip-season Windmills, Tulips and Belgian Delights out of Amsterdam.
• The South of France on Sapphire: one Lyon departure through Provence.

If you know which river you want, the whole European river cruises page lines up how the lines differ. Scenic is the all-inclusive, butler-in-every-suite version; Emerald is the sleeker, slightly younger one at a friendlier number. Both are on this list.

The fine print, minus the lawyer voice

Specific departures only. Every sailing above is a dated departure on the spreadsheet, and “close to those dates” doesn’t qualify. Give us your rough window and we’ll tell you in about ten minutes whether it lines up.

Limited inventory. These rates are attached to a set number of cabins per sailing, not the whole ship. On the popular ones, the spring Rhine, the Virgin Islands over the holidays, the Antarctica departure, the allocation goes first and the rate goes with it.

Not combinable with other offers. You get this rate or the public promotion, whichever is better for your sailing. We’ll run both and tell you.

The window closes November 4, 2026. After that the spreadsheet is retired, and the next one is never guaranteed to cover the same ships or the same dates.
