Puerto Princesa, Palawan: The Philippines’ Greenest City

We fly from Manila to Puerto Princesa, Palawan, check into our resort, then visit a wildlife rescue center, Baker’s Hill and Plaza Cuartel.

After three weeks settling into our new second home in BGC, Metro Manila, we were ready to head back into the jungles of the Philippines. We packed up the apartment, waited out our flight in the Philippine Airlines lounge and landed in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

We checked into Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa, ate at Tomato & Basil and toured our family suite before meeting our guides. They took us to the Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center, then on to Baker’s Hill and Plaza Cuartel. It made for a full first day and a good introduction to the city.
