Street Food at the Jakarta Fair, Indonesia

On the last full day of this trip through Southeast Asia, we went looking for the food, culture and people of Indonesia at the annual, month-long Jakarta Fair. After a quick shopping spree and a wait in line, we were in.

We worked our way from Indonesian donats and tea to egg crust, barbecued jumbo squid, crispy baby crab and seafood satay. Brooklyn and Colt picked their own desserts, and so did we, because some decisions shouldn’t be made by committee. It’s a loud, colorful, delicious way to meet the Indonesian capital.
