Bobby Flay vs. Giada: Las Vegas Italian Restaurants Compared

We pit Bobby Flay’s Amalfi at Caesars Palace against Giada across the street in a family Italian dinner throwdown on the Las Vegas Strip.

Bobby Flay reopened his Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace as Amalfi, and Giada De Laurentiis’s namesake restaurant sits right across the street. That was all the excuse we needed for a Las Vegas Strip Italian throwdown. Erin bet on Bobby. Phil insisted nobody out-Italians Giada.

Naturally there was a wager: if Amalfi won, Phil would fly the family to Italy; if Giada won, Erin would take us to the Cannes Yacht Show on the French Riviera. We ate our way through both dinners, judged the results as a family, and wrapped up with a throwdown of our own back home, where Erin took on Bobby’s chicken parm.
