A San Diego Food Tour With a Local: Little Italy to Ocean Beach

We’re part-time residents of Coronado, but honestly, we rarely cross the bridge into San Diego proper. So we fixed that with a six-hour food tour led by San Diego native Bianca Beale, founder of So Diego Tours.

We started with wellness lattes at Parakeet Cafe, then hit Little Italy for sliders and sangria at Queenstown and affogato and gelato at Pappalecco. In the Gaslamp Quarter we tried gyro quesadillas at Meze Greek Fusion, and in Ocean Beach it was fresh catch at Blue Water, a Cali burrito at Mike’s Taco Club and a beer flight at OB Brewery. Plenty of reasons to cross that bridge more often in California.
