Silversea’s Dedicated Ultra-Luxury Antarctic Flagship

Silver Endeavour represents the closest thing the expedition cruise world has to a flying private equivalent — a ship specifically designed and operated for Antarctica that refuses to compromise on what happens when you’re not on the ice. Originally built as Crystal Endeavor and acquired by Silversea in 2022, the ship was refitted and relaunched under Silversea’s ultra-luxury standards, becoming the brand’s dedicated expedition flagship and the most premium vessel currently operating regular Antarctic itineraries.

The ship carries just 200 guests in 100 all-suite accommodations, supported by a crew of nearly 200 — a staff-to-guest ratio that borders on the private yacht experience. Suites range from the intimate Classic Veranda category through to the lavish Owner’s Suite, with the majority featuring private verandas and butler service across all categories. Seven dining venues, a full spa and wellness center, a pool, and immersive expedition programming are all included in the fare. The onboard Expedition Team includes certified polar guides, ornithologists, glaciologists, and marine biologists who lead every shore excursion via Zodiac.

Where Silver Endeavour specifically earns its place at the top of the tier: the combination of genuine expedition capability (PC6 rating, zero-speed stabilizers, Zodiacs) with an onboard experience that feels nothing like roughing it. If you want champagne in your suite after a morning with the penguins — and butler service that anticipates you’ll need it — this is the ship.

What makes Silver Endeavour the ship

Silver Endeavour main dining restaurant

The Restaurant

All-inclusive main dining, three meals daily

The Restaurant is Silver Endeavour’s main all-day dining venue — open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a broad and high-quality menu that changes throughout the voyage. All-inclusive, all-butler service, no dress code beyond smart casual. The baseline dining standard on Silver Endeavour would be a headline feature on most other ships.

Silver Endeavour forward observation lounge interior

Observation Lounge

Panoramic glass lounge for briefings and wildlife watching

Silver Endeavour’s Observation Lounge is a forward-facing glass-walled space designed for watching Antarctica unfold from the warmth of the ship. Expedition briefings, naturalist lectures, and the informal conversations that define a Silversea voyage all happen here — with the continent as a constant backdrop through floor-to-ceiling glass.

Silver Endeavour expedition mudroom and kit-up area

Expedition Mudroom

Expedition mudroom for Zodiac preparation and boarding

Silver Endeavour’s expedition mudroom is purpose-designed for the practical reality of polar Zodiac operations — a dedicated space to kit up, store gear, and stage for shore landings at sea level. The mudroom is adjacent to the Zodiac boarding area, which minimizes time between the ship and the ice. The kind of operational detail that matters considerably on days when conditions require speed.

Silver Endeavour Zodiac landing with penguins in Antarctica

Zodiac Expeditions

Daily polar guide-led Zodiac landings in Antarctica

Silver Endeavour’s Zodiac program is the operational heart of every Antarctic sailing. Daily landings at wildlife sites, ice formations, and historic points of exploration are led by the ship’s polar guide team. The PC6 ice rating and zero-speed stabilizer system mean the ship can position close to landing sites regardless of conditions — a meaningful operational advantage in Antarctica’s variable weather.

Silver Endeavour Otium Spa and wellness center

Otium Spa

Full-service spa, sauna, and wellness facilities

The Otium Spa is one of the largest wellness facilities in the expedition segment — a full-service spa offering massages, body treatments, sauna, and fitness facilities designed to function as a genuine recovery space between long days on the ice. The contrast of a proper spa treatment at the end of a day in Antarctica is one of those Silver Endeavour experiences that genuinely can’t be replicated on any other expedition ship.

Silver Endeavour La Dame fine dining restaurant

La Dame

Relais & Châteaux fine dining, reservation-only

La Dame is Silversea’s signature fine dining venue — Relais & Châteaux inspired, reservation-only, and the culinary centrepiece of every Silver Endeavour voyage. French-leaning tasting menus, extensive wine program, and a service standard that holds its own against any land-based fine dining room. Extraordinary in the specific context of doing this 24 hours after a Zodiac landing.

Cabins + suites

Where you'll sleep.

Owner’s Suite

100 m² (1,076 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2-4

The Owner’s Suite is Silver Endeavour’s most expansive and exclusive accommodation — a full 100 m² of living space with a large private veranda, separate dining room, full living room with sofa and armchairs, walk-in dressing room, and a master bathroom with both a tub and separate shower. On a ship with only a handful of these suites, guests who book here experience a level of personalized attention and spatial luxury that genuinely warrants the description. The suite also accommodates up to four guests, making it suitable for family bookings at the top of the market.

Silver Endeavour Owner's Suite interior

Owner's Suite

85 m² (915 sq ft) / Private terrace / Sleeps 2

The Owner’s Suite is Silver Endeavour’s pinnacle — an 85m² residence at sea with a private terrace, separate living and dining areas, and the full butler service that Silversea delivers across every category. For the Antarctica itinerary, this means returning from Zodiac landings to a genuinely private suite with unobstructed polar views. The closest thing to a private yacht on the White Continent.

Silver Endeavour Master Suite interior

Master Suite

50 m² (538 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

A well-proportioned 50m² suite with a private veranda and butler service. The Master Suite sits in the upper tier of the veranda categories — meaningfully larger than the Silver Suite below and a sensible choice for guests who want genuine space without the Grand Suite price commitment.

Silver Endeavour Grand Suite interior

Grand Suite

60 m² (646 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

A 60m² suite with a private veranda, generous living space, and butler service included. The Grand Suite represents the most significant step up from the core veranda categories — significantly more room and a distinctly residential feel that works especially well on longer Antarctic itineraries where the cabin becomes a genuine home base between excursions.

Silver Endeavour Signature Suite interior

Signature Suite

38 m² (409 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

A 38m² suite with private veranda and full butler service — a well-balanced mid-tier option that delivers the core Silversea luxury experience in a comfortable, thoughtfully designed footprint. Butler service is included across all Silver Endeavour categories, so the choice between tiers is primarily about space.

Silver Endeavour Deluxe Veranda Suite interior

Deluxe Veranda Suite

26 m² (280 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

A comfortable veranda suite with butler service and everything that defines the Silver Endeavour experience, in a compact and efficient 26m² layout. The right choice for guests who prioritize expedition access and onboard quality over cabin square footage.

Silver Endeavour Premium Veranda Suite interior

Premium Veranda Suite

24 m² (258 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

An efficiently designed veranda suite with private outdoor access and full butler service. A strong entry point into the Silver Endeavour experience for guests focused on the expedition program rather than maximizing cabin space — the Antarctica itinerary is the same regardless of category.

Silver Endeavour Superior Veranda Suite interior

Superior Veranda Suite

22 m² (237 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

One of Silver Endeavour’s most compact veranda options, the Superior Veranda Suite packs private outdoor access and butler service into a well-designed 22m² footprint. For first-time Silversea guests entering at the expedition end of the fleet, this category is often the most compelling value in the lineup.

Silver Suite

66 m² (710 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

The Silver Suite is a genuine two-room suite: a separate bedroom and a living room that feel like a well-appointed apartment at sea. At 66 m², the suite has real space to move around in, with a dining area, premium bar setup, and a private veranda that comfortably seats two. The Silver Suite is the first category where guests start to feel the “private yacht” quality Silversea markets — a combination of spatial generosity, butler anticipation, and a level of finish that makes the room itself a significant part of the experience.

Panorama Suite

36 m² (388 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

The Panorama Suite expands the veranda experience with a larger suite footprint and floor-to-ceiling windows that make the Antarctic seascape feel continuous with the interior. The sitting area is more generously proportioned, and the veranda itself is larger than the standard Veranda Suite. Butler service, king or twin configuration, walk-in wardrobe, and a marble bathroom with full-size tub are all standard. For guests who spend time in their suite during at-sea days—which can be long in polar regions—the Panorama category delivers meaningfully more space.

Silver Endeavour Silver Suite interior

Silver Suite

30 m² (323 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

A private veranda suite with full butler service at a more accessible price point than the upper categories. On Silver Endeavour, the Silver Suite is one of the most popular bookings for guests transitioning from Silversea’s ocean fleet who want the familiar butler-and-veranda experience in the expedition context.

Veranda Suite

28 m² (301 sq ft) / Sleeps 2

The Veranda Suite adds a private veranda to the core suite experience, giving guests a dedicated outdoor space to watch Antarctic scenery without competing for deck access. Inside, the suite offers a king or twin configuration, sitting area, walk-in wardrobe, and marble bathroom with butler service included. Most guests booking their first Silversea Antarctica voyage choose the Veranda Suite as the sweet spot: more connection to the environment outside than the Vista, without the premium of the upper categories.

Vista Suite

26 m² (280 sq ft) / Sleeps 2

The Vista Suite is Silver Endeavour’s entry-level accommodation — but “entry-level” on a Silversea expedition ship means something quite different than on most. All Vista Suites feature a large ocean-view picture window (no balcony at this category), a king bed convertible to twins, walk-in wardrobe, marble bathroom, and butler service. The suite is thoughtfully sized for the itinerary: enough space to decompress after a long day on the ice, compact enough to feel purposeful rather than sprawling.

Silver Endeavour Classic Veranda Suite interior

Classic Veranda Suite

20 m² (215 sq ft) / Veranda / Sleeps 2

Silver Endeavour’s entry-level suite — still with a private veranda and full butler service, still all-inclusive, and still the same Antarctic expedition program as every other category on the ship. The most accessible way onto Silver Endeavour, and genuinely not a compromise on what matters most.
