Antarctica Cruise Drop — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Distill, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as ABC Trips ("ABC Trips," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Antarctica Cruise Drop mobile application (the "App"). It applies only to the App. Your use of our website at abctrips.com is governed by the separate ABC Trips Terms of Use + Privacy Policy.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you request a hold on a Drop or otherwise contact us through the App, you provide personal information including your name, email address, and phone number, along with the details of the offer you are requesting and any preferences or notes you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. When you use the App, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- A push notification token and related device information, which we use to deliver the Drop alerts that are the App's core function.
- Device and technical information, such as device type, operating system and version, and app version.
- Usage and diagnostic information, such as how you interact with the App and crash or performance data, used to operate, maintain, and improve the App.
We do not collect precise location data, payment card information, or contacts from your device through the App. Any payment for travel is handled separately and is governed by the supplier's and our host agency's own processes, not by the App.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Send you push notifications about Drops and other offers you have opted to receive;
- Receive, evaluate, and process your hold requests, including contacting you to confirm or clarify details;
- Coordinate with the relevant cruise line, expedition operator, or other supplier ("Supplier") and our host agency to attempt to place a hold and prepare a booking and invoice;
- Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App;
- Communicate with you about your requests, the App, and related services; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Push Notifications
The App's primary purpose is to send push notifications about time-sensitive Drops. To do this, we collect and store a device push token issued by Apple Push Notification service or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings, though doing so will limit the App's usefulness. Notification delivery depends on your device, network, and these third-party services and is not guaranteed.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only as described here:
- With Suppliers and our host agency. To process a hold request and prepare a booking, we share your relevant information (such as name, contact details, and request details) with the applicable Supplier and with our host agency, Scott & Thomas, as necessary to attempt to secure your hold and generate an invoice.
- With service providers. We use third-party providers to run the App, including Supabase (data storage and backend), Expo (app infrastructure and push delivery), and Apple and Google (push notification services and app distribution). These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ABC Trips, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the App, respond to and process your requests, maintain records of bookings and invoices, and comply with our legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it. Hold-request data is retained indefinitely unless deletion is requested in writing by you.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's settings.
- Access and deletion. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or request that we delete it, by emailing us at hello@abctrips.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by applicable law. Note that we may need to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or to complete a transaction you requested.
- Account/data deletion. To request deletion of your data associated with the App, email hello@abctrips.com with the subject line "Delete My Antarctica Cruise Drop Data."
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or other state or national privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. 7. Security
We use reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users 18 and older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when the updated policy is posted in the App or otherwise made available to you. We encourage you to review it periodically.
