Atlas Adventurer is the debut vessel of Atlas Ocean Voyages’ new Atlas-class and a genuine first in the expedition cruise world: a 690-foot, triple-masted sailing yacht purpose-built for luxury exploration. Her carbon fiber sail rig isn’t decorative — when conditions allow, it reduces fuel consumption by up to 40 percent, contributing to a quieter, lower-impact presence in the sensitive environments Atlas is built to explore. Below decks, Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines and a 9-megawatt marine battery system provide the power and flexibility for a truly global itinerary.
Ice Class 1B (Polar Category C) certification means Atlas Adventurer isn’t limited to warm-water itineraries — she’s built to go places that demand real operational capability. The inaugural season focuses on Asia and Africa, with routes spanning Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, the Seychelles, Madagascar, Kenya, and South Africa. These are longer, more immersive itineraries for a ship designed to meet them.
Onboard Experience
All 200 suites are designated as suites across every category — even entry-level accommodations are generous by expedition standards, and connecting options allow configurations for up to four or five guests. Seven distinct dining venues and five lounges give the onboard experience breadth and flexibility suited to longer voyages. The wellness center, marina platform with ocean pool, and deck whirlpools round out an offering that balances active exploration with genuine restoration.
For shore access, Atlas Adventurer carries a fleet of expedition Zodiacs for landings and wildlife exploration, and two custom luxury motorboats for small-group coastal transfers. The ship’s marina platform enables swimming, kayaking, and water sports directly from the yacht.
